What Do I Miss Most?

Image
What I miss most during this pandemic is being able to go out. I miss seeing my friends and just having fun, I miss being able to go eat out with friends and/or family without having to be concerned about the food that we eat, and most importantly, I miss being able to go to Costco (yes, Costco) without having the fears that I might catch the deadly virus. Being in this pandemic, I realize how I take many things for granted. For example, I would postpone hangouts or sports just because I was “too lazy” to go out, but now, those are some of the things I miss the most. Honestly, being cooped up in the house feels draining and awful. In the beginning, I was fine with being inside, but now everyday is basically the same and the days feel very repetitive.   Occasionally, I would go outside  to go to the grocery store, take a walk, or play sports with my brother, but it feels very different than before we had the virus. Before, I would be able to go out without any concerns, bu...

COVID-19: A Global Pandemic

Image
The first case of Corona Virus or more scientifically known as the COVID-19 was first diagnosed on November 17, 2019. However, the first case of the COVID-19 here in British Columbia was on January 28, 2020. The virus can spread quickly through person to person contact. Some symptoms include shortness of breath, cough, fever and unexplained loss of taste or smell. There is no vaccine or cure discovered for the virus yet. In just a couple of days, many people have been confirmed with the virus or have died. According to the WorldoMeters Statistics , today on April 20, 2020, there are approximately 2,474,131 confirmed cases, 169, 922 deaths, and 645, 029 recoveries. Lockdowns have been issued around the world to stop the spreading of the virus.  In my opinion, there are two good things that have come out of this pandemic. The first thing is that Mother Nature is restoring itself. Some examples are that fishes can be seen swimming in the Venice Grand Canal, and pollution in coun...

My Hobby: Art

Image
This is probably going to sound cheesy but art has always been a part of me ever since a was a young kid. I remember, when I was little, my love for it developed because it was really fun to draw food or little objects out of shapes. They held little competitions in my daycare days and some during my early elementary days. I was surprised that I would end up getting in the top 3, sometimes even first! During my Grades 4-6, my interest for art had started to lessen. I did not have a will to draw, and even if I did, I'd end up hating it. My interest had only since come back in my Grade 7 days when an art teacher would teach my class every Thursday. Since then, my love for art had not only come back but has grew stronger. Art has given me an opportunity to find and express the creative side of me. That opportunity given to me is one that I will cherish forever. ~Some of my unfinished works~
